30-player shortlist

Of course there were so many footballing names who put in noteworthy performances throughout the year for their clubs and national teams that cannot be ignored...however, when it comes to the Ballon d'Or only the best have the privileged to be named in the 30 man shortlist for constantly exceeding expectations and putting their name up in lights

Out of the 30 names listed there a few who have previously and consistently been on the list such as the world renown Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, two names who have dominated the footballing game for the past decade. There are also newcomers to the list as well, that being the young Mason Mount, Phil Foden and Pedri who have all shown what it means to really burst onto the scene and show the capabilities of the next generation of ballers.

There have been many reactions to the shortlist as footballing fans appreciate some of the biggest names making their way onto the list and on the other hand many also questioned why certain big performers didn't make the list.

However at the end of the night there will only be one winner so stay tuned for when that time comes.
